This is the index of the documentation written by Steve Linberg, lead trainer at the Spiders at Work Web Camp in August 2000. The purpose of these pages is to re-present, as reference information, much of the material presented during the training, in the hope that it will be useful.
Note: The documents in this site are written in XHTML 1.0, which is the most recent version of HTML as of this writing, and the official recommendation of the Word Wide Web Consortium (w3c). It uses stylesheets and other features of the XHTML language. Although you should be able to access and read the material using any browser, you will find that it looks best when viewed with a standards-compliant browser. As of this writing, the browsers that come closest to standards compliance are Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5 or higher, Mozilla version 0.6 or higher, Netscape version 6 or higher, and Opera version 4 or higher.
Netscape 4.x users: Please be aware that Netscape unfortunately has a particularly difficult time with stylesheets and modern HTML; Netscape 6 is out at last, and it is very standards-compliant (if a little bloated). Meanwhile, although these pages should be perfectly readable in Netscape 4.x, some of the styles will not render correctly and things might look a little off. Try it out with any of the browsers listed above and you'll see a much nicer-looking site.
